MISSION: – Our Mission is to enhance the talents of the students, so they can show and participate in maximum number in different cultural events/activities/competitions.
FUTURE PLAN: – To organize various programs for preserving cultural heritage and transmitting cultural values and history.

OBJECTIVES : – To organize successful events, activities, and cultural competitions that help students develop their skills in cultural activities.
- To encourage and promote students’ talent in cultural activities within the college.
- To celebrate the birth and death anniversaries of great leaders and personalities, helping students learn about their contributions and inspiring them to follow their examples.
- To celebrate cultural diversity and nurture students’ inner skills, enabling them to participate in college and University level events.
- To understand the importance of cultural events and competitions at the college and University level, state, and national levels, and to organize and participate in them.
- To promote and arrange extracurricular activities that bring out students’ talents in the performing arts, literary arts, and fine arts.
To win prizes, medals, awards, and certificates in cultural activities, enhancing students’ talents and encouraging others to participate in events and activities.
Cultural Committee of Shankarrao Jagtap Arts and Commerce College, Wagholi strives to celebrate the cultural diversity in the college by organizing various competitions, events, activities, programs every year.To provide a smooth and suitable platform for organizing the cultural events and showcasing the hidden talents. The Committee provides various opportunities for the students to relax, to enhance their skills and talents. The Teacher and Student Coordinator of the Cultural Committee take a lot of efforts to plan, to Guide, to organize the various events and competitions in the college at inter college and University level. Students From our college and other colleges took participation in maximum number in competitions like, Dance Competition, Singing Competition, Rangoli Competition, Mehendi Competition, fashion show Competition.This will in help in overall development of the students including personality, as goal of education and also provide rich cultural experiences so that the students appreciate our cultural diversity.

- Member Secretary should conduct quarterly meeting & also record the minutes of the meeting. Member Secretary should submit the action taken report to the Chairman about the points discussed in the meeting within 10 days of the meeting.
- To promote and encourage students participation/involvements at various inter college and University level.
- Member Secretary to prepare and maintain records of all cultural activities.
- Member secretary to submit quarterly cultural activities report highlighting the performance & achievements of the students who took part in various cultural fests.
- Member Secretary to prepare and submit annual budget required for the cultural activities to the Principal/Chairman to incorporate the same in the college annual budget, to obtain necessary approval from the Shivaji University, Kolhapur.
- To evolve regulations & procedure for the students to take part in the various cultural fests /events.
- To select eligible candidates or team towards participation in any inter collegiate events if many students intend to participate. The decision of the committee would be considered to be final.
- The Member Secretary cultural committee will ensure that they will provide proper information to the magazine committee to bring out the college magazine in a befitting manner.
- To obtain formal permission from the College authorities to arrange program.
- To decide the date, time and agenda of the program
- To prepare the Budget for the cultural event and obtain necessary approval.
- To prepare complete program list and obtain necessary approval.
- To display on the Notice Board/Website information about festivals to be celebrated.
- To invite the Chief Guest and other dignitaries
- To arrange the venue with audio/video system, dais, podium etc.
- The interested students should submit the requisition/ request letter to the member secretary/ joint secretary to take part in the various cultural activities with or without financial assistance 15 days in advance. Only after obtaining permission on producing document, the student should take part in the events.
- Only in exigency cases, the permission will be granted to the student by the Chairperson/Head of the institution with the recommendation of the member secretary to take part in external competition/events.
- Only after obtaining the approval from the member secretary, the concerned student will be given attendance for the period of participation & travel.
- After taking part in the cultural fests/events, the student should submit within 2 days, the relevant original bills with supporting documents of the expenses incurred, along with brief report with related photo, to the member secretary, to enable to verify& submit the duly certified bills to the college authorities for settlement of the bills.
- Each student will be permitted to attend external cultural fests /events once in a year or maximum 3 during the entire course with or without financial assistance. The student who will be attending the external cultural events shall submit an undertaking & ensure that the institutional interest will be protected
