Student Council acts as a bridge between students and college staff, organising activities and sharing students ideas or concerns.’ students council develops leadership and teamwork skills, improve communication and public speaking make a positive impact on college culture.

In Indian colleges and the student council is legally recognised under educational laws and university regulations. The university Grant commission issues guidelines for maintaining democratic processes in higher education institutions. The Students Council is framed as per the Maharashtra Public University Act 2016. However, the election procedure was not followed for selecting class representatives. The students are selected on merit basis.
