Faculty Grievance Redressal cell is committee established and universities to address and resolve complaints or grievances of teaching staff in fair, transparent and time bound manner. It ensures justice, equality and healthy working environment for faculty members.

  1. To listen to and address complaints or grievances from faculty members regarding unfair treatment, academic or administrative issues, or any other matter affecting their professional well-being.
  2. To maintain an unbiased and impartial approach in resolving grievances, ensuring that faculty members are treated fairly and justly in all matters
  3. To create an environment where faculty members feel supported, respected, and valued, ultimately contributing to a positive academic atmosphere.
  4. To promote communication and transparency between faculty members and the administration, fostering a sense of trust and collaboration.

    • Accepts written grievances from faculty members regarding academic, administrative, or service-related issues.
  2. Acknowledgement of Complaints
    • Provides formal acknowledgment after receiving the complaint.
  3. Preliminary Review
    • Examines the nature of the grievance to determine its validity and scope.
  4. Conducting Inquiry
    • Organizes meetings, collects evidence, and hears both parties involved.
  5. Ensuring Fair Hearing
    • Gives equal opportunity to all concerned parties to present their views.
  6. Maintaining Confidentiality
    • Keeps complaint details confidential to protect dignity and privacy.
  7. Recommending Solutions
    • Suggests corrective actions or disciplinary measures to the Principal/Management.
  8. Time-bound Resolution
    • Ensures grievances are resolved within a stipulated period.
  9. Record Maintenance
    • Maintains proper documentation of complaints and resolutions for future reference.
  10. Promoting Healthy Work Environment
    • Encourages mutual respect, transparency, and ethical practices in the institution.

In India, grievance redressal mechanisms in higher education institutions are guided by the regulations of University Grants Commission (UGC)

Faculty Grievance Redressal Cell meeting.

The college has a grievance redressal cell headed by Prof.Dr. Patil V.N. His assistant is Prof.P.V. Lokhande. The in-charge principal of the college, Jadhav P.H., is its chairman. Two meetings were held annually through this committee. After the first meeting, instructions were issued to the professors regarding the grievances. No complaint was received during this period.
